Service Overview
Our Oil Spill Dispersant (OSD) Testing services are designed to ensure that dispersants used in managing oil spills meet the highest standards for efficacy and environmental safety. In Singapore, oil spill dispersants must comply with SS 688:2022 – the Singapore Standard for Oil Spill Dispersants. This standard, established by the Singapore Standards Council, outlines the rigorous requirements for the effectiveness, toxicity, and application of dispersants.
Through our comprehensive testing, we assess the performance of dispersants under real-world conditions to verify their ability to mitigate oil spills effectively while minimizing ecological harm.

Efficacy Testing
Ensuring that dispersants are effective in breaking down oil slicks, facilitating faster biodegradation in marine environments.
Toxicity Assessment
Evaluating the environmental impact of dispersants, particularly their safety for marine life.
Application Protocols
Testing the dispersant’s performance under various environmental conditions, in alignment with SS 688:2022, to ensure compliance with the standards required by the National Environment Agency (NEA) and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
Our adherence to SS 688:2022 ensures that we provide results that are both reliable and compliant with Singapore’s environmental regulations. By meeting these rigorous standards, we help support sustainable, safe oil spill response strategies that protect Singapore’s waters and marine ecosystems.
